Figural Pipe Tamper

This is a fun piece - a figural pipe stuffer / tamper in the form of a miniature gentleman figurine wearing his evening smloking outfit made by Meissen in the 19th century. Nicely modeled and hand painted as one would expect from the top maker! The gentleman is dressed nicely in a long green robe / gown with red shoes while holding one of those old clay pipes in his right hand. This piece is standing on a smaller base than a usual miniature would stand on so it could fit into the pipe to pack down / compact the tobacco before smoking it. A known model of a pipe tamper. The piece is in perfect condition which is always nice. It is marked underneath with the blue crossed swords mark as shown. The figure is 2.25 inches tall with the base having a diameter of 0.625 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
