Fels & Vogel Demitasse Cup & Saucer

This is a demitasse sized cup and saucer made by Meissen in in the late 19th century. Both pieces are hand painted with the polychrome Fels & Vogel design which looks stunning. It includes the rock in the bottom center with colorful branches of flowers coming out of it and the funky bird in the center. Nice red and green trim along the rim and gold trim to the edge and branch shaped handle. The design of the shape of the pieces is called Neuer Ausschnitt. The set is in perfect condition. The saucer is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 4.25 inches. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.5 inches. Both pieces are marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed numbers common to Meissen pieces of this period as shown.
