Applied Flowers Egg Shaped Tea Caddy

This is a nice tea jar or lidded vase made by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has an egg / oval shape to it and is decorated with lots of hand painted 3D flowers that have been applied on the outside which some people called encrusted with flowers. It stis on three legs that are modeled nicely with a branch going up them. Lots of gilding to the legs and a gold trim around the opening and edge of the lid. The lid has a nice rose flower as its finial. The caddy and lid are in amazing condition! Usually many of the applied flowers are dmaged but I could only find a couple of extremely minor chips to a petal here and there. None that are obvious at all and the piece displays perfectly! The tea caddy is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as shown. First choice off course. The piece with the lid in place is 5.625 inches tall and has a diameter of 3 inches.
