Deer Scene Plate

This is a something a bit different - a plate with a deer in a landscape scene made by Meissen around the late 19th or early 20th century. I like animal scenes and this one looks nice and natural. The scene is of a good quality and fills a good portion of the center while the rim has a beautiful cobalt blue ground color with a nice gold trim to the edge and a thin gold ring around the well of the plate. Looks very nice on the wall! The plate is in great condition with an area along the rim where something must have hit the plate and left tiny rough spots in the glaze. Does not affect it much but it is there. I tried to take a proper picture of it but it's hard and hard to explain. Just have a look. The piece is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed marks of this period. It is 1.5 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
