Cobalt Blue, Gold & Floral Reticulated Plate

This is a really stunning reticulated floral plate made by Meissen in the late 19th century. The piece is hand painted with a superb floral arrangement on white ground in the center surrounded with some fancy gold trim. The edge has three panels of floral arrangements on white ground to it with a relief design around it highlighted with lots of gilding. The rest of the plate has a cobalt blue ground color to it - even the reticulated area which is uncommon. Nice gilding to the retiuclated area as well. A truly amazing and elegant plate! The plate is in superb condition which is always nice. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark (first choice) underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers of the period as shown. The plate is just over 1.125 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
