Brühlsches Allerlei Plate w/Puce Flowers

This is a superb plate made by Meissen in the mid 19th century. The plate has a rim design called Brühlsches Allerei which includes a hand painted puce floral arrangement in the center as well as puce floral swags / garlands along the well edge and a very fancy reticulated rim with lots of flowers. The unusual part are the puce flowers and the parts that are usually left mainly white in between the colorful flower sections of the rim are painted with a light yellow, purple and oorange decoration. A bit of gold trim to the edge makes this a very stunning plate! Each reticulated area is different with three that are in the shape of a floral arrangement with each flower hand painted perfectly! The Bruehlsches Allerlei design is one of the nicest rim designs one can own by Meissen - it was originally made for Count von Bruehl - hence the name. The plate is in superb condition which is always a bonus. Just a touch of wear to the gilding (very minor!). It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as shown and the usual impressed marks, etc. one finds on Meissen of this period. The plate is 1.625 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter.
