Blue Floral & Insects Fork #1

This is a nice porcelain handled fork made by Meissen in the 19th century or earlier. It has the hole at the end of the handle where the metal fork part goes through the porcelain and comes out at the end. These were not made that way in the newer versions. Sadly the tines are probably not original anymore but were replaced. The porcelain is hand painted with their under glaze blue floral and insect design one sees fairly often on plates and such but not often on silverware. It includes a nice floral arrangment as well as small single flower and two bugs. The mark would be where the sleeve sits between the blade and the porcelain but it is secured well and won't budge and I am not playing with it to get to the mark. The forks is in good working order but the porcelain does have three hairlines going from the ferrule metal part into the handle about 1 inch each. It still is solid and still a nice example and could be used if one wanted to. The whole thing is about 7.125 inches long with the porcelain being about 3.125 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $99
