Blue & White Bottle Stopper #1

This is a bottle stopper made by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. It is a simple form with a blue strawflowers / blue onion type design to the top and a bit of blue line trim. Simple but very elegant and it would go very well with any blue and white collection - strawflower or blue onion! The cork is attached with a metal rod stuck inside the porcelain and a metal plate at the bottom which I just figured out unscrews so it would be quite easy to replace the old cork with a new one! Plus the mark is easily visible! Since I just figured it out I did not take a pic of it but if you really need it just send me a note and I'll take care of that. Off course it is guaranteed to be there! First choice, too. It's hard to find blue and white stoppers so it is a nice find! The cork is old and was used and has dried out and started falling apart but that is an easy fix. The porcelain part and metal parts are all in perfect shape. The entire piece is 3 inches tall. The cork is 2.125 inches long and the porcelain top is 1.125 inches in diameter and 0.875 inches tall. One could add a shorter cork as well I think. Price is $149
