Pink Floral Solitaire Coffee Pot

This is a small coffee pot likely from a solitaire and made by KPM in the 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The piece is hand painted with a nice puce floral arrangement to either side as well as a smaller flower under the spout and under the handle. The handle and spout have a nice green and puce trim to a relief design. Gilding to the spout edge. The lit has three small flowers to it, a gold trim to the edge and a superb floral finial with the blossom and a leaf. The pot is in superb condition with a tiny flake on the edge of the opening as shown but the lid sadly has a large restored chip that has yellowed over time as well as another chip to the underside in the spot where the gilding is gone a touch. Still nice to have the lid as they are so often lost. The piece is 3.75 inches tall, 6.125 from handle to spout tip and 3 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as an impressed letter O as shown. A very nice piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
