Floral & Oak Leaf Trim Plate

This is a great plate made by KPM in the 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The plate is hand painted with a very nice floral arrangement in the center including some pink clover and an orange poppy (I think) with three bugs around it, I especially like the Dragonfly! The well has a puce ring around it with the edge havng a nice grey oak leaf design in black with more puce trim to either side. Supposedly this particular service was order by Frederick II aka Friedrich the Great after 1775 and delivered before 1790. I could not find it in my books but got the info from a colelctor that bought a few of these off me over the years. A very decorative plate and the floral arrangement is especially nice! The plate is in perfect condition with some minor use marks. The piece is 1.25 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. Probably more of a soup plate. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter with a blue line underneath and an impressed number 27 by the footring. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
