Brule Perfume Dish

This is a fun lidded Burle perfume / potpourri dish made by KPM in the 18th century. Left in the white to show off all that detail of the porcelain itselft. White porcelain was more prized back then than painted versions! KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The main body ahs the typical shape for these but the lid is truly stunning with lots of 3D flowers on it with the holes hidden in between for the fumes to come out of. Later versions took all these fun flowers away fro the lid - the amount of work that went into these must have been crazy! The main piece is in great condition with firing cracks from the making and some minor chipping on the opening edge where the lid would sit. The lid has the expected damage to the flowers though amazingly the outer flowers are all in good shape - the center higher ones are mostly missing - probably fell upside down at some point long ago. It still displays superbly and is just stunning! The entire piece is 7.5 inches tall, 4.375 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The dish is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark as shown. Please email me for more information or photos.
