White Tureen

This is a tureen made by KPM around 1780. The terrine has a very attractive shape and an amazingly detailed rose finial on the lid. Nice handles and design to the lid edge and bottom edge of main body. The piece is in great condition with some chips to the rose petals of the finial which are really not distracting, a shallow chip to the lid edge and another one to the footring of the main body which is also not bad. The lidded tureen is about 9 inches tall and 9.875 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter as well as some impressed marks typical of this time period.
