Floral Teacaddy

This is a tea caddy / jar made by KPM in the 18th century. It is handpainted with two large polychrome floral arragements - one on each the front and the back - as well as a smaller flower on each side and the top. The lid has three flowers painted on it with a nice floral finial. A nice relief basketweave pattern to the top part of the main body and the rim of the lid. Gold trim to the lid edge. The caddy is in perfect condition with the lid having the finial broken off and reattached with the help of a metal contraption and two small restored rim chips. It displays perfectly! The caddy is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark as shown. The tea jar is 5.25 inches tall (including the lid), 3 inches wide and 2 inches deep.
