Hague Reticulated Bird Scene Plate

This is a superb reticulated bird scene plate - the blank was made at TournaiI believe and the design hand painted on it by the Hague in the Netherlands in the later 18th century around 1775. The decoration of this plate is superb! The rim is reticulated with a nice design to it, gold trim to the edge amd three floral panels in between that are surrounded by a cobalt blue ground color with some gilding to it. The center of the plate has a bird scene to it of which some versions of this design out there were painted by the famous Fidelle Duvivier but I don't think he painted this one here. The edge of the well has the same cobalt blue ground color with gilding to it with some small floral garlands coming of that into the plate. A stunning design and I have not seen a reticulated version of this design. It is a great plate and the soft paste porcelain is always a treat. The piece is in superb condition with just a couple of small scratches to the bottom right of the bird scene. As nice as one could hope for. The plate is 1 inch tall and 9 inches in diameter.
