Hague Nice Floral Plate

This is nice plate was made by The Hague / Haag around 1780. It is hand painted with nice floral arrangement in the center as well as four more smaller floral arrangements along the rim with a nice gold trim along the edge as well as some nice gold designs a little in from the edge. The piece also has a nice relief design to the paste. The blank porcelain seems to have been made at Tournai since it is soft paste and has a greenish translucency to it. The plate is in great condition with some minor use marks typical to softpaste porcelain. Touch of wear as well but it displays superbly! Interestingly the plate is marked with above glaze crossed sowrds with a dot between the bottom ends as well not something you see often by this maker though I have now seen it used by jsut about every maker out there :) Also two incised lines or an 11 near the foot ring. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
