Den Haag Scenic Platter

This is a rare platter made by The Hague around 1780. Actually the porcelain was made by Tournai and they painted it with a superb scene in the center, four superb floral garlands suspended from blue bows and a superb raised gold trim. The paste has the typical relief design of Tournai to the rim going into the bowl part a bit. The platter is in great condition with one small chip to the udnerside only (I have shown the underside and top view of the spot and you cannot see if from the top!). There is a tiny bit of wear from us to it but nothing crazy. Interestingly the piece is marked with an above glaze blue crossed sowrds mark in the typical blue color for Haag even though they normally use a blue stork mark. Not sure if this was meant as a replacement piece or meant to fool a collector?? Also an incised 5 which is typical for Tournai porcelain. Typical green translucency as well. The platter is 1.125 inches tall, 12 inches wide and 9.125 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
