Scenic Cup & Saucer #1

This is a cup and saucer made by one of the Paris makers around 1800. Most likely La Courtille or Clignancourt . The set is superbly decorated with a handpainted scene of a fountain in a landscape in the saucer well and a man on a road next to water with a sailboat on it on the front of the cup. These scenes are of very high quality! Then there is the gilding. Quite fancy and better looked at in the pictures than described. The amazing thing is that this set is in perfect condition (with minute wear of the gilding) and matches three others I have up on the site as well. The set is unmarked which is common for Paris makers around that time. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
