All Around Scenic Vase

This is a really nice empire period vase / urn made by an unknown maker in the very early 19th century. Normally I would definitely say it is from the Paris region but the quality is a touch nicer and it is just a little different that it might just be an English example from the Ridgway factory. Not sure and sicne the base has a piece of black stone attached under it I cannot check for a some sort of mark. Either way it is a superb vase in the typical style of this period. It has a high quality scene going all around the mid section including people, buildings and ruins in a nice landscape surrounding. Tooled gilding around the top and bottom of the scene and two amazing busts of a busty lady with wings as the handles. The rest of the piece has lots more gilding to it which is typical of this style. It is a great looking example! The vase is in amazing condition without any damages and there is virtually no wear to the gilding either. The ladies could use a bit of a cleaning as does the inside and the black stone base could use some as well. There is a bit of damage to the bottom edge of the stone base only. But all in all as nice an example as you will find. I have another vase on the site in exactly the same shape with the same base but a different design. Not a perfect pair but they go nicely together. As far as I can tell the piece is not marked which is would be normal for this area and time period. There might be some numbers or incised marks under the base but I am not going to take it apart to find out. The piece is 10 inches tall, 5.125 inches wide and and 3.5 inches deep.
