Damaged Tray

This is a realy nice and unusual tray made by Frankenthal in 1778. It is hand painted with a large scene in the center including a lady and gentleman in a landscape surrounding as well as three small floral arrangements along the rim and a few tiny flowers scattered about including some to hide firing flaws. Gold trim to the nicely shaped edge. A really nice piece and not something I have seen before but sadly it has been badly damaged. The plate is marked with the CT mark under the crown in under glaze blue as well as an incised H110 and a blue 78 on the footring. The platter is 1.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 11.125 inches. It displays OK but was broken across the bottom half - luckily only a clean break across the lwoer part of the scene so it is fixable. Lots more damage along the edge as shown. Still a must have because this shape is not going to be easy to find again. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
