Scenic Saucer

This is a superb saucer made by Frankenthal in about 1775. It is handpainted with a landscape scene in the center including a river, lots of greenery, a ruined building and some people. Scattered flwoers along the rim as well as a gold trim to the edge. Really very nice! The saucer is in superb condition with a spot of green paint flaking in one of the bushes and some wear to the gold trim. There is a small footring chip which is meaningless I think. The saucer is marked with the CT under a crown as well as VIII in blue and incised B2. The piece is 1.125 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $499
