Oriental Man Figurine

This is a figure of a man from the Orient made by Frankenthal in the 18th century. He is well modeled and painted and quite typical for a Frankenthal figurine. He is wearing a large hat and holding something in his left hand. The figurine is 4.875 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. Marked with the CT monogram under the crown in underglaze blue and possibly an incised mark but it might just be my imagination. The piece is restored condition that could use a little re-doing. His hat has a chip to the front, a small on to the right side and the back and I suspect the tip was off since there is overpaint there as well. The item in his left hand is broken at the top and that arm was off as well at some point. The right hand is badly restored and I am not sure if any of it is original since there is too much overpaint on it. His head was off at some point as well. That said - he is a cutie and still displays well. A rarity even in this condition so worth owning (otherwise I wouldn't ahve bought him :) and maybe someone will even spend the time to have him brought back to perfection! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
