Pair of Flower Pots

This is a rare pair of flower or bough pots made by Bow around 1760. They are something else! Nicely handpainted with lots of detail as well as lots of raised designs. There are three panels each with a handpainted floral arrangement, three lady faces and raised forget me nots to top and bottom rim. Hard to describe all the detail so the pictures will have to do the job better in this case :) One has more green in the decoration and one has blue in it so they differ slightly. The tops have a large hexagonal hole in it with lots of smaller holes for the flowers all around. One of these would be rare but a pair is just amazing. They look superb when on display even without adding the flowers that one would in the non winter month. They are in good condition with one being better than the other. The one is a tiny bit taller than the other. It has four small chips to the top and a larger long one on the top rim. There are some chips to the applied flowers over the lady's faces, and five unimportant chips to the bottom rim. The noses on the faces all have a ding not sure if the glaze just didn't take or came off over time. The other pot has a chip to the top inside rim and a restored area to the inside rim. Lots of black spots where the glaze didn't take properly on top and the side rim on top. There also is some chipping to the flowers of the lady's faces, the noses are the same (a little less) than the other piece, there is a restored forget me not to the top rim area, a restored top part of the cross type decoration over one lady's head, and a restored area on the other side over another lady's head but it seems like it is mostly overpainted badly since the inside is fine! Some of the forget me nots on the bottom rim didn't take well during the making and must have come off and are thus just painted on. Definitly during the making kind of flaw! And then one restored forget me not on the bottom rim and one chipped area partially still overpainted from the old restoration that came off. All in all an easy fix if need be as the damage is superficial and the pot in good shape. The pieces are unmarked underneath but that's the norm. They are 5 and 5.25 inches tall and 4.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
