Chantilly Butterfly Cup & Saucer

This is a fun cup and saucer made by one of the Paris makers in the late 18th century. Both the cup and the saucer are superbly hand painted with butterflies as well as tiny gold sprigs with a simple gold trim along the edge and a bit of gilding to the handle. Each butterfly is unique and really well painted. Not sure who made the set but the saucer is marked with the Chantilly mark - htough since the set is made of ahrd paste porcelain it is obviously not made by them. Still a very nice and fun set. nice. This set is in perfect condition with some very minimal wear to the gilding along the edges. It displays perfectly! The cup is unmakred while the saucer is marked as stated. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter.
