Salopian Fisherman Pattern Shell Dish

This is a nicely shaped dish made by Caughley in the 18th century during their Salopian period. Likely used for pickles or such. It is in the shape of a scallop shell and decorated in under glaze blue with the Pleasure Boat aka Fisherman pattern with a nice design to the rim as well. The piece is marked underneath with their under glaze blue S - nice and large. The piece is in good condition with a chip to one of the corners which is not terribly obvious and can mostly be seen from the underside as shown. A section of the foot ring is also missing. The dish is just over 1.375 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide and 5.625 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $149
