Salopian Fruit Scene Creamer

This is a superb little creamer / milk jug / small pitcher made by Caughley in the 18th century. It has a really nice shape to it with a ribbed design to the paste and is decorated in under glaze blue with a large fruit and flower arrangement on one side with smaller fruit scenes to the other side and a nice blue trim to the top inside. I have seen this pattern being called the Sliced Apple as well as the Apple and Damson pattern. Either way the piece looks superb with the deep blue decoration on white ground. The cream jug is in perfect condition which is always amazing on pieces that are over 200 years old. The piece is marked with the under glaze blue S for Salopian mark as shown. It is 3.875 inches tall, 3.25 inches from spout to handle and 2.25 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
