Salopian Mask Jug

This is a nice early jug made by Caughley around 1775. It is superbly decorated with an underglaze blue printed floral design and has lots of molded detail that I believe are supposed to be cabbage leaves to it and also including the mask head spout. An earlier version than most one sees plus it is in good condition with just a mostly inside rim chip to the side of the spout and an original to the making chip to the footring. The jug is 7.5 inches tall and has a diameter of about 5 inches. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue S+ mark. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
