Scenic Plate

This is a plate made by Caughley in the 18th century and it is from the "Bright Landscape" service. This is a great example why Caughley is so famous for their soft paste porcelain. It is handpainted with a scene in blue and lots of super detail in gold. It is pretty rare to find handpainted pieces by Caughley so this is a very special plate. It is in great condition which just a bit of gold wear. It has the impressed Salopian mark underneath. I also have a matching plate for sale. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 8.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
