Small Chinoiserie Plate

This is a small plate made by Bow around 1765. It is hand painted in under glaze blue with Chinoiserie or Asian inspired scenes on white ground with the rest of the plate around the white panels having a powder blue ground color. Some blue designs to the udnerside rim as shown. A simple round shape but I also have the octagonal version on the site which they are more famous for. The piece displays superbly but there is a small restoration tot he rim which looks to have been a flat flake chip to the top edge. It does not show when on display but is more easily spotted since the udnerside has discolored slightly though that side was never restored. Some sort of bleeding through. I used a very bright light to show the affected area more clearly! Small white line along the rim where the color didn't take and some use marks but all in all a nice example! The plate is marked underneath with the chop marks style mark meant to imitate Chinese porcelain marks. The piece is 0.875 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter.
