Small Pedestal with Bugs #1

This is a rare and unusual little pedestal base for a vase or figurine made of soft paste porcelain by Bow around 1760. An extremely fun piece I have not come across before which is nicely hand painted with lots of bugs / insects including butterflies and a caterpillar , some puce trim to the feet and along the top edge and has a marbled design to the top. There is a hole in the center so they could affix a figure or vase to the base or anything else one might want to put on display that fit this pedestal. The piece has a triangular shape with a reticulated window to each side as well as some relief design to the paste. It sits on three feet and has a roundish top. The piece is just superb and the critters are my favorite by far! The piece is in superb condition with some minor manufacturing flaws from when it was made but no real damage. The piece is unmarked underneath but that's the norm. It is just over 2.25 inches tall with a top diameter of about 2.625 inches or 2.875 inches from foot to foot. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
