Leaf Shaped Pickle Dish

This is a really nice pickle dish made in the mid 18th century. I would say it was made by Bow but the flower at the tip is in th opposite direction of any other piece I could find in this pattern so it might be something more obscure. Eitehr way this piece is superbly modeled in the shape of a wine leaf with the veins in relief underneath. The top is hand painted with a ncie floral design in a really nice deep blue color. Nice crisp painting. No smears, etc. One of the nicest I have ever owned. The dish is in great condition with a few really minor nibbles to the edge some of which were colored in to hide them perfectly. Some minor stains to the underside normal to these early pieces. It displays perfectly and looks stunning! The piece is not marked which is the norm. It is 1.375 inches tall, 3.875 inches long and 4.125 inches wide. A touch larger than many pickle dishes. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
