Blanc de Chine Handle Fork

This is a superb 18th century pistol grip blanc de chine porcelain handled fork made by Bow around 1755. The handle is left in the white with a relief pattern to the paste in the shape of a flower and some scrolls. The ferrule that connects the tines part and the handle or at least covers that part is made of Sterling silver and the tines seems to be made of steel - it is original to the period and not a later replacement which is nice! The piece is a great example and not something you find often by any means! The fork is in perfect condition except for some oxidation to the metal parts and some black firing spots to the porcelain - a common issue on Bow porcelain. The ferrule has a few small dents to it. The entire fork is about 8.5 inches long and the thickest porcelain part is about 1 inch wide. The porcelain handle part that shows is about 3.25 inches long. Not marked but the design and paste are definitely Bow. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
