Amstel Floral Plate

This is a plate made by Niever Amstel in about 1809. Niever Amstel was founded by Georg Dommer in 1808 and even though they were subsidized by the Dutch Queen they already closed in 1810. SO there isn't much of their goodies out there! The plate is nicely handpainted with lots of scattered flowers and has a nice shaped rim. The plate is in good condition with a little stacking wear to one flower, a very small edge chip and a chip that is mostly underneath but I have also pictured it from above. Looks to be the result of a firing flaw since the shape is quite odd. Likely an impurity weakened the spot and a ding made it into a chip. It is marked with the underglaze blue Amstel mark that is quite rare. The plate is 0.875 inches tall and 10.5 inches in diameter so a nice size. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
