Liverpool Small Sauce Boat

This is a superb little sauce boat / gravy dish made in Liverpool in the mid 18th century. I cannot find this exact shape and even asked for help but all we could figure out it was made by one of the Liverpool makers - James or Seth Pennington most likely. A really nice piece by a rare maker that is hand painted with large floral scene to one side a smaller one to the other as well as flowers to the inside and front. The painting is of nice quality and the paste itself has some nice relief designs to it as well. .The sauce dish is smaller than most one comes across and I thought most of these were made at Bow but apparently Liverpool also made this smaller pieces. It is in great condition with some firing flaws typical to these wares- a firing crack where the handle attaches to the main body, some staining along the edge and a chip to the udnerside wich shows a bit when on display from the back right underneath the handle. The piece is unmarked which is the norm. It is just over 2.625 inches tall at the handle, 2.25 inches wide and 4.875 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
