Wallendorf Diana Cup & Saucer

This is a really nice cup and saucer made by Wallendorf in the 18th century. Both the cup and the saucer are hand painted with a nice scene of Diana the Huntress on a black ground surrounded by some gilding with more gold trim along the top edges. On the saucer you ahve a typical image of Diana with her bow and arrows and a fox type animal while the cup has her with a raven eating from a bowl - not sure how that fits into her story but I am sure it does somehow. Maybe someone knows and could fill me in! The set is in great condition with a a tiny bit of wear to the gilding and the black ground color of the saucer has flaked and was colored in a bit to hide it a little as shown. No other issues! The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.25 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and 2.625 inches in diameter. Both the cup & the saucer are marked with the underglaze blue W mark as shown. Please email me for more information or photos.
