Volkstedt Puce Scenic Teapot

This is a nice tea pot made by Volkstedt in the 18th century. Never seen one with scenes like this example here. This piece is nicely hand painted with two puce scenes - one on the front and one on the back. Each scene has a scantily clad gentleman in it all done in different shades of puce. One is sitting down while the other is on one knee. Not sure what either is doing. The scenes are surrounded by a gold frame with more gilding around the top opening and spout tip. Puce trim to the handle. The lid has a gold trim around the edge and a finial done in puce. There are two leaves and a stem but the actual finial is sadly missing. I think it looked like a bunch of grapes. The piece is otherwise in great condition with some wear to the gilding and a grey spot to the should of the kneeling gentleman as shown from when it was made. The piece is marked underneath with the blue crossed hayforks with a line through it as shown. The pot and lid are 3 inches tall, 5.5 inches from handle to spout and 3 inches in diameter.
