Austrian Oval Enamel on Silver Scenic Box

This is a really nice pill / patch / snuff box made in the Vienna area of Austria around the mid 19th century. It is made of enamel on silver which is marked but I cannot make anything out and even if I could I ahve no idea of silver hallmarks at all. Nice oval shape with the lid smaller than the body which is a bit unusual. The enamel is superb with the lid having three ladies dancing in a nice landscape on it - possibly the three graces. The main body is hand painted with an all around scene including people ,etc. one of which is the god Pan and the other Cupid . The udnerside has a superb design to it as shown. The interior of the box has a light brownish background with a brown line design typical to Austrian / Viennese enamel pieces. The box is in great condition with a scratch or two that do not take away from the piece and the udnerside has some light wear in the center one would expect to find from a pieces like this. The box is 1.125 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2.375 inches deep. It is marked only on the silver as shown. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $1249
