Gold Leaf Tete-a-Tete

This is a great tete-a-tete or teaset for two made by Royal Vienna in the 19th century - in the 1830s. The entire set is hand painted with a gold grape leaf garland design as well as some gold trim to the edges, finials and handles. The sugar bowl has two superb face relief designs to it forming the base of its handles. A nice looking set more than likely for hot chocolate. There are two cups and saucers, a lidded sugar dish and two almost identical lidded pots. One likely for hot chocolate the other for milk or hot water. The set is in great condition with some wear to the gilding mostly to the gold ring around the well of the saucers. Otherwise the wear is minimal on the very edges. The cups are about 2.125 inches tall plus another ~0.75 if you include the handle and have a diameter of 2.625 inches. The saucers are 0.875 inches tall and one being just above 5.125 inches in diameter while the other is 5.375 inches in diameter. The sugar dish is 6.625 inches tall including the finial on the lid, 5 inches wide including the handles and 4.125 inches deep. The slightly smaller pot is 8 inches tall including the finial, 7.75 inches from handle to spout tip and 4.25 inches wide. And lastly the slightly larger pot is 8 inches tall including the finial, 7 inches from handle to spout tip and 4.25 inches wide. All pieces are marked with the impressed shield mark, as well as some other impressed and gilder's marks. The gilder's number seems to be 25 on most pieces for Franz Janscha . The year codes are in the early to mid 1830s. 832 for 1832, 836 for 1836 and 834 for 1834. Some are impossible to make out. Just a really nice set that's is almost 200 years old now.
