Gold Leaf Design Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Royal Vienna in the 19th century - the cup has the year mark for 1836 and the aucer for 1832. The set is hand painted with a gold grape leaf garland design as well as some gold trim to the edge and handle. A nicely shaped cup typical of the Biedermeier period. The set is in good condition with some wear to the gilding mostly to the top inner edge of the cup, the outer saucer edge and around the well. A chip to the underside edge of the saucer that is hard to spot from the top as shown from both views in my pictures. The cup is 2.25 inches tall plus another 0.75 if you include the handle and has a diameter of 2.625 inches. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 5.375 inches in diameter. Both are marked with the impressed shield mark as well as impressed year numbers, some other impressed numbers and a gilder's mark 25. as shown for Franz Janscha. Please email me for more information or photos.
