Austrian Enamel & Silver Pill Box

This is a pill box made in the Vienna area of Austria around the mid to late 19th century. It is made of enamel on silver/copper with the silver mounts being pin struck. The polychrome decoration is in the Roccoco style and shows scenes of people dancing in a landscape background as well as musicians and people just relaxing. The underside just has a superb land / seascape on it. The interior of the box has an off white / brownish background with a brown line design typical to Austrian enamel. The box is in good condition with light wear / chipping on the bottom rim that is not very obvious when on display or looked at in your hand. A scratch to the inside design. The box is 1 inch tall, 2 inches wide and 1.75 inches deep. It is marked twice with two marks. One being on the lid silver mounts in the front and one being on the mounts of the bottom part. Hard to read and photograph but they are there! Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $849
