Blue Ground Floral Cup& Saucer

This is a great cup and saucer made by Royal Vienna in 1832. The saucer is handpainted with a superb blue ground color and has a gold design to the rim and a saying in French in the center - Dans ce monde tout change, rien n'est stable, Jen excepte l'amitie, qui me soumet a vous. My French stinks a bit but it says something like The whole world changes, nothing is stable except the love I feel for you. Rough translation but you get the idea :) The cup has the same blue ground and gold trim with a superb floral scene on the front and a nice handle. The set is extremely well marked much better than any other piece I have seen - the saucer has a faint impressed beehive (shield) mark in the center, a black letter C. a blue 74 for the painter Martin Fromhold and a gold number 18 for the gilder Josef Megerle. The cup has the faint impressed shield mark, a black letter C., a blue 74, an impressed 12, an impressed D and an impressed 831 for the date code for 1831. The displays perfectly but the cup rim has a chip to it as shown. An easy fix! The very bottom goldring of the cup has a bit of wear. The cup is just over 3 inches tall (not including the handle) and 2.375 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.875 inches in diameter.
