Stork Handle Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by an unknown maker - possibly Fuerstenberg around 1800. Both are hand painted with a superb fowl scene in the center including a Tom turkey and some other birds in a landscape surrounding. Nice flowers and bugs fill the rest of the area with a nice gold trim to the edge. The best part is the stork shaped handle to the cup! The set is rather large and thickly potted. The cup is 3.125 inches tall (4.375 with the handle),5 inches wide and 3.75 inches deep. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall, 6.5 inches wide and 5.875 inches deep. The saucer is in great condition with a glaze line to the underside center. The cup handle was off at some point but with very minimal loss and was reattached perfectly. If need be a restorer could touch up the spots and it would be invisible in no time. Actually a little paint would probably due. There might ahve been more of a tail to the stork as it is rough under his butt but there are little black dots painted there so it might be original as well. A rare enough set to make it worthwhile to own and even repair if need be for sure! One does see these from time to time once ever few years and they are always sold as Meissen but they are definitely not Meissen! Both pieces are marked with a version of the crossed swords but no impressed numbers or anything else. I think there is a good chance it is Furstenberg but I am not 100% certain on that either.
