Woodpecker Figurine

This is a really nicely done woodpecker bird porcelain figurine made by an unknown maker in the later 19th century. It reminds me of KPM pieces from this period a little bit but it is definitely not that. I looked everywhere but could not find this model from anyone! It is nicely modeled sitting on a tree stump with a branch with leaves on the front. All hand painted with good detail as well. Not a top maker but still well done. Don't think this coloration exists in real life. If anyone has an idea on a maker a quick note would be appreciated! Either way the piece is really nice. The piece is in great condition with a tiny chip to the tip of the upper beak that a quick dab of color would hide perfectly and some of the raised enamel white spots on the wing tips and tail have popped off leaving just the outer ring outline. So no real issues and he displays perfectly. The underside of the base is unmarked but open and hollow with two airholes to it as shown. The figurine is of a good size being 8,875 inches tall, 3.375 inches wide and 5.375 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $199
