Interesting Mustard / Jam Jar

This is an interesting mustard or jam pot made by an unknown maker in the 20th century. I thought it might be older since the pattern reminded me of Venice porcelain from the 18th century and the spood holders of Thuringian porcelain from the same period but the way the lid is made where the finial is on the inside looks to be much newer so it's a 20th century piece that has taken its inspirations from the good old days of porcelain :) The set consists of a main jar, a lid and a saucer. They are each hand painted with an orange/red design with gold highlights. Gold trim to the finial and edges. It's a nice piece and neat with the spoon holder on the side of the main piece. I guess it could be used for honey, jelly or mustard or even as a sugar dish. The set is in perfect condition. The main body is marked with an incised script M. mark as shown. The pot with its lid in place is 4.375 inches tall witha diameter of 2.75 inches. The saucer is just over 1 inches tall with a diameter of 5.125 inches.
