German Meissen Style Cup & Saucer

This is a great scenic cup and saucer made in Germany probably in the later 19th century. Not sure as to the maker but it is superbly hand painted with a scene in the center of the saucer as well as front of the cup. Both include people in a landscape surrounding including buildings and lots of greenery. The scenes are surrounded by a fancy gold and black trim design. The rest of the space on the saucer is filled with two smaller single flowers as well as two insects and on the cup with two floral arrangements. Fancy gold trim to the rims and some gold trim to the handle of the cup as well. Both pieces are marked underneath with a crown mark with possible a CC under that though it is a bit faint to make out. The hand painting is of very god quality. The cup is just under 2.625 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The saucer is just over 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 5.375 inches. Both are in superb condition with some very minor wear to the gilding of the edges. A very nice set meant to look like an 18th century Meissen example which it is not.
