English or Italian Little Creamware Figurine

This is a fun little piece that is a bit of a mystery. A little creamware putto figurine made wither in England or Italy in the 18th century. A really cute little guy kneeling on a little base with a purple cloth strategically placed over his mid section while leaning on an upside down torch. The base has a decorative trim around the edge. The peice is of very good quality but I am not so sure he has been free standing all these years. The bottom edge looks ground and the underside looks too unrefined to have been made this way I am assuming. Might have been the tp to a larger piece?? The figure is in great condition with a firing crack going around the center of the base as shown which affects the ankle area of his back foot a bit. A little wear from age but all in all very nice! It is not marked but like I said I think he was part of a alrger piece. Maybe someone out there knows more. Either way a very cute and good quality piece that looks great the way it is. The piece is 3.125 inches tall with a base diameter of about 2 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $79
