Biscuit Relief Scene Plaque

This is a superb relief plaque in unglazed porcelain made by a quality maker in the early 19th century or possibly earlier. I cannot find another or anything similar at all so not sure who made it. Could be Austrian with that eagle on the shield of the one warrior definitely not Russian since the eagle only has one head. The plaque is mainly of St. George slaying the dragon. Either side has a warrior holding a shield and spear and there is lots going on in the background including a king and queen sitting with some warriors towards the top right, a shepherd tending to his flock and a lady wearing a crown surrounded by plant. Nice frame design around the plaque. The detail is very good and it is a stunning piece! It is very well executed and in superb condition with a few very minor chiops mostly to the back edge. Sadly unmarked so it is hard to tell who made it. The piece measures 0.5 inches thick, 3.875 inches tall and 9 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
