Fruit Pitcher

This is a porcelain pitcher made by one of the Thuringia makers in the late 18th century. I am thinking Limbach myself. The paste is very grey which is typical for this region and the handpainted design of fruit and veggies is a bit primitive. Lots of charm to these pieces and they are highly collectible. The one side has a red current painted on it and the other a large design of currents, asparagus, a peach?, pear, gooseberry and some radishes. The handle has a nice design to the bottom and is painted with in puce. The piece is in perfect condision with a few small scratches to the pear and peach but nothing that takes away from the piece. It is 6.5 inches tall and 3.75 inches in diameter. Sadly it is unmarked but certainly 18th century and from the Thuringia region! Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $299
