Tata Capodimonte Pot - As Is

This is a fun large pot probably for coffee made by Tata in the 19th century. The only reason I know it was made by them is because I have previously owned a marked version of it many years ago. The Tata factory was only a decorating studio that painted Herend blanks and some Czech blanks as well. It was founded by Desider Fischer. So I guess it could also be an unmarked Herend piece but I doubt it. The style and quality of the painting matches the other piece perfectly. The pot is nicely hand painted on a relief scene with what most people refer to the Capodimonte style used more commonly at Doccia. Lots of detail and nice colors. It has a intertwined branch style handle and the spout has a scene on the front. The lid has a warrior head wearing a helmet as the finial and a similar relief design as the top rim of the main body has. The coffee pot is unmarked underneath as previously stated. The piece displays nicely but the finial has been broken off and re attached using a screw and washer as shown from the underside. Still a touch loose but a bit of glue or a decent restorer could fix it perfectly as the break looks to be pretty clean. The top rim of the main body has a hairline going from the edge about 1.5 inches down. It is stable and tight and almost impossible to find. The spout tip has some issues as well as shown with some minor chipping and glaze lines. Two minor chips to the lid edge that look to be from when it was made. Definitely a rare example! The piece is 10.5 inches tall, 8 inches from spout to handle and 5.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
