Strasbourg Boy in Blue Figurine

This is a very rare figurine made by Strassburg around 1755. The factory was founded by Karl Franz Hannong as an earthenware maker around 1721 but soon after his son Paul Anton took over the factory around 1732. After he went into partnership with Ringler he began the production of porcelain. The competition with Vincennes forced him to close the factory and move it to Frankenthal. This figurine is very famous as it is the original boy in blue that even today is seen on paintings and porcelain. He has his arms crossed in front of him, a dog by his side and a bag around a tree stump in the back. Marked underneath with an underglaze blue mark hard to decipher but probably an H as well as the impressed H mark with a dot above and some letters and numbers. He is in good condition with a chip to the front of his hat, the strap of his bag partially missing and he might have been broken around his feet once since there is some damage to the lower part of his right leg but I can't quite see where it went so if it was it has been repaired superbly. The figurine is 7.75 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 3.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
