St. Petersburg Peterhof Banquet Service Custard Cup

This is a rare porcelain custard cup from the Imperial Peterhof Banquet Porcelain Service made for the Grand Peterhof Palace by the famous St. Petersburg Imperial factory during the reign of Tsar Nikolai the 1st . Nicholas I reigned as Emperor of Russia from 1825 until 1855. The piece is in the shape of a tulip blossom with wild flower floral arrangements to each side as well as the front and back within a blue and gold edged cabbage leaf design. A small handle to either side. The design is based on the original 18th century Sevres Feuille de Choux pattern. The piece is in perfect condition ith almost no signs of wear. It is always nice to have a fun piece like this from an important service and one from the original period from when it was first made instead of a later replacement piece. The piece is marked with the blue N I mark under the crown as shown as well as an incised number and a letter A (I think) along the inner foot ring as shown. The cup is 2.625 inches tall with a top diameter of 3 inches with the handles sticking out about 0.375 inches from that. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
